Uses:

It is used to assist moderate to serious pain to be relieved. Hydromorphone is part of an opioid (narcotic) analgesic class of drugs. The brain operates to alter your body’s feeling and pain response.

How To Use Dilaudid?

Before you begin taking hydromorphone, read the drug guide given by your pharmacist and recharge it each time. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any concerns.

Take this drug by mouth according to your doctor’s instructions. With or without food, you may take this medicine. It can assist to bring your nausea with food if you have nausea. Ask your physician for other ways to reduce nausea (such as lying for as little as possible 1 to 2 hours on your head).

In case you use the fluid form of this product, use a unique measuring device / spoon to closely evaluate the dose. You may not get the correct dose, but don’t use a domestic spoon. Do not confuse the hydromorphone liquid dose in milligrams with the mL dose. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if your dose can’t be measured or checked. Shake the bottle well before each dose if your liquid is a suspension.

The dose is based on your health and therapy reaction. Do not take the medication longer than prescribed, boost your dose or take it more frequently. If so directed, stop the drug properly.

Certain medicines for pain (blended opioid antagonist, like pentazocine, nalbuphine, butorphanol), naltrexone are some of the products that can communicate with this drug.

If the medicine is used with other products that can also trigger drowsiness or breathing issues, the risk of serious side effects (such as slow / low breathing, severe drowsiness / dizziness) may be improved. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other opioid pain or cough soothing (for example codeine, hydrocodone), spiritual fluid, sleeping and anxiety medications (for example, alprazolam, lorazepam, zolpidem), sweat-relieving muscles (for example, carisoprodol, cyclobenzaprine), or antihistamines (for instance cetirizine, diphenhydramine).
